"Hi everyone! Well, Auntie ML called early this morning and Uncle Charley might get to come home today. Auntie ML is at Dr. Bob's right now cause she has a migraine and isn't feeling well. Dr. Bob will fix 'em all up! I know him personally! He's given me skritches before!

Mommy talked to Dr. Smith yesterday and Charlie Cat isn't doing too well right now. Mommy will have a report after she talks to Dr. Smith later, but he could sure use a lot of purrs and prayers!

Mommy says that she will post an update on all the Sherwood's when she gets more information

We are purring and praying for Miss Peach's Lap Daddy! He had a heart attack yesterday and is in the hospital. We are continuing our purrs and prayers for Miss Peach to get well soon too!

UPDATE: (Thursday, 4/23/09, 12:15 p.m. EST)

I just talked to Dr. Smith and Charlie Cat is doing much better today. He is eating well and the sub q fluids are helping him tremendously. Dr. Smith will be keeping him in the hospital until Saturday. She is going to repeat his blood and urine tests tomorrow. She said that he is being very talkative and active.

URGENT PURRS NEEDED!!!!

Charlie Cat had to be rushed to the Houston Cat Hospital to see Dr. Smith today. He is not drinking or eating normally. His urine tests show that his kidneys are not functioning properly. I think this is because he was left alone for a while until ML and I were told about him.

He had been living with his Mommy (who was a neighbor of ML and Charley's) since he was a kitten. His Mommy had to be taken to the hospital and then to a hospice. No one was told to go and take care of Charlie Cat for a week or so. His Mommy didn't have any family beside Charlie Cat. She has dementia and was unable to articulate anything about him. ML got an urgent phone call while I was with her and we immediately went over to the apartment and picked up Charlie Cat. Unfortunately, no one knows how long he was left on his own. Dr. Smith thinks that this is what has caused his kidneys to malfunction. They are giving him lots of fluids and running many tests on him. Fortunately, Charlie Cat has a strong heart.

ML and Charley are so worried about their new baby, as am I. We fell in love with Charlie Cat instantly. I told ML to rest and that I would fill everyone in on the situation.

Please send your very hardest purrs and prayers to Charlie Cat, as well as ML and Charley. I will keep you updated as I get more information.

Mommy still has to wear the brace occasionally while traveling, just for safety reasons. Otherwise, she is doing great!

Cherry Blossom Time in D.C.

The Big Guy took a stroll around D.C. during the Cherry Blossom Festival, while Mommy was out of town. We thought that we would share some beautiful pictures with you!

This is a really cool tree that has some blossoms growing out of it: We hope that you enjoyed seeing these as much as Mommy did. She was in Houston during the Cherry Blossom Festival. She says that next year she will be at the Festival with The Big Guy!

MOMMY IS COMING HOME TODAY!

Mommy has been at Auntie ML and Uncle Charley's for the past two weeks. She is coming home today! We want to thank Auntie ML, Uncle Charley, and all the Sherwood kitties for taking such good care of Mommy...again! They are so wonderful put up with her

umm....we mean take care of her for us!

Our beloved Miss Peach is at Doctor Oliver's Vet Clinic having her "two for one" surgery. We are all praying and purring very hard that her surgery is swift and successful!

Ms. Robyn is having surgery today. We are sending her lots of prayers and purrs!

Our "NOMS" Furriend, Tazz, is having surgery today too. She is 17 years old and needs lots of purrs and grrs. She may have a tumor in her mouth, we won’t know what is wrong until after the surgery.

Mommy wants too thank everyone for their get well wishes! She is feeling much better. She will be coming home on Wednesday. Auntie ML, Uncle Charley and all the Sherwood kitties have taken such good care of her....again!
