Seaborne's Grooming Experience

Seaborne: "Hello everyone. I have a scary story to tell, so if you are faint of heart, don't read the following: (ALSO MAKE SURE THAT ALL LITTLE ONES ARE OUT OF THE ROOM)

Now, not to brag, but I think I look pretty good in the picture above. Unfortunately, when Mommy tried to groom me, she found a lot of matted fur. So... she decided to give me a "good grooming".
These two pictures are of the "aftermath" of the grooming. Which, by the way, took over two hours. I am a 23lb. cat (all muscle)! Now I ask you...aren't these pictures scary?

Well, this is what I looked like after the "butchering"! Mommy isn't exactly the world's best groomer. I was not a happy cat! This is what Mommy's arm looked like after this "so called grooming"! I ...well, kinda lost my temper and put the "bitey" on her. Now I ask you...wouldn't you have done the same? I love my Mommy, but JUST LOOK AT WHAT SHE DID TO ME!
Well, this is what I look like after my fur has grown out some. Not bad, eh? I have forgiven Mommy and she has forgiven me. She is brushing me a lot these days, so that my fur won't get matted again.

Yes, I am posing on a pink flowered comforter. It is on Tatum's bed and she is my favorite human. Besides, I am very secure in my masculinity!

Oh, Seaborne! I do sympathize with you AND with your mom.

Anne goes through this same thing with her big boy, Cabernet, and all his fur and mats. Poor guy. It takes both Anne AND Austen to get him brushed and to cut out mats when they can't brush them out. He hasn't put the bitey or scratchy on either of them, as far as I know, but maybe that's because they have to work together.

Cabernet is quite beautiful, just as you are. The two of you would make a good pair -- one all white; one all black. Beautiful!

Hi! Well Cabernet is probably a lot more patient than I am (don't tell my mommy I "said" that). Grooming us "big guys" is not for the faint of heart! Courage and tenancity are necessary!

Cabernet is very handsome. My daddy was an all black cat. I am technically biracial.

Love, Seaborne

Look at the bright side: she DID give you the "Lion Cut"...
You look like a beautiful white lion.
But you still did right to bite her! She should BRUSH you for hours every day then she wouldn't have matted fur to cut!

You do look like a beautyful white lion. But biting her was right. Long as you didn't bite anyfing actually off her, yoo's ok.

AHHHHHH - there are pieces of you all over the place! as far as the bitey goes...she cuts you, you cut her - it's only fair. I would have gone for more blood myself. You show remarkable restraint.

Well, thanks to everyone for the compliments AND for being on "MY SIDE". Grr, I think I showed remarkable restraint too! Hot(M)BC, nope, I didn't actually bite anything off.

P.S. Mommy did eventually recover from her wounds and even better, she didn't bleed on ME! :)

Seaborne, that is just an AWFUL way to treat a cat! My beans know better than to try that with ME. I won't even allow brushing, but luckily I have short hair. We sometimes have to be rough on our humans to train them properly. Tough love and all that.

Seaborne: "Thanks to all for your support and especially thanks for the "furminator" idea...Mommy already ordered one! Beau, just breath deeply, don't want you to hyperventilate! Hey, thanks for all the compliments too...I AM THE WHITE LION!"
