Tattletale Thursday

Sassy: "You are NOT going to believe what happened last night. Now, this is between me and you, okay? Seaborne and Mommy don't know that I'm tattling....err...reporting this event.

Well, last night, Mommy was getting all of us kitties ready for bed and she noticed that our bedroom was a little "smelly". Now, our bedroom is usually not "smelly" cause Mommy keeps it very clean. So, she started looking around for the cause of the "smelliness".

Apparently Seaborne had an upset tummy cause he had "made a big mess" in one of the litter boxes and had managed to trail it...well, pretty much EVERYWHERE. Now, not to get too graphic, but you can use your imagination and figure out what happens when a white cat gets a tummy upset. Let's just say that he wasn't "white" anymore. Mommy gathered him up in a towel and poor Seaborne had to have a bath. That's right....with water and everything! Oh the horrors!

Now, those of you who have ever tried to bath a TWENTY-THREE pound cat can relate to Mommy's dilemma. Seaborne wasn't being terribly cooperative! But Mommy managed to get him "white" again, dried off and brushed. She was muttering something about taking a hot shower when she left our room about two hours later. Seaborne seems fine this morning, but he may have to visit the vet later today. Sam has an appointment for a recheck. Now, remember, this story is just between us!"

Oh, yikes! That's awful ... poor Seaborne. I went through that with my Pluto (who was also white) for quite a while, but this was when I lived in California, and he was an indoors/outdoors kitty -- so his messes were not always inside. (Easier cleaning up with a hose!) And yes ... a trip to the V-E-T is definitely a good idea.

Pats to everyone, and hugs to Deb!

Poor Seaborne, and poor, poor Mommy. Hopefully his tummy was just upset and has calmed down today.
Or maybe losing that Bissell deal really hit him hard?

Well, now that Sassy has "let the cat out of the bag" about Seaborne and the mess, I can let everyone know that he seems to be fine today. Sam had his checkup at the vet and he is doing much better. I talked to the vet about Seaborne and she thinks that Seaborne just had an upset stomach. I keep checking on him and he is nice and white!

Oh Poor Seaborne. Sometimes I end up having a bath 'cause I am smelling--it's hard to stay clean with all my furs.

Poor Seaborne! An upset tummy, and a bath, ugh. Don't worry, won't tell anybody.

Do not worry, I won't tell anybody! Poor Seaborne! Getting a bath sounds very terrible; I never had a bath before. I hope his tummy is feeling better today.

Poor seababy, poor mamababy... too bad you're not a bit like silly Zoey who truly loves the water... around it, in it, whatever! You have to close the bathroom door or she'll join you in the shower!

Poor Seaborne. He must have been upset about his loss.

We don't want to embarrass him so we won't breathe a word to anyone!
