Our sweet Judi-Bug, we were privileged to have you here on earth, but we know that heaven has received an amazing soul and will be more glorious because of you, our beloved friend. Thank you for enriching our lives.

ML and I will keep you to your promise to visit us. Every time we see a ladybug, we will know it is you. WE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!

ML & Deb

Judi requested that in lieu of flowers or any other form of condolence, contributions be made to the Treat Fund (located on the SASS blog).

A Poem for Judi

When you are out for a stroll
and you happen to see
a beautiful little Ladybug
well, that will be Judi;
for she has made a promise
to come from Heaven above
and spend a little time with us
and touch us with her love.

Auntie Judi-Bug has been taken to St. Luke's Baptist Hospital in San Antonio.

A SPECIAL BLOG FOR A SPECIAL LADY

A JOURNAL FOR JUDI

http://ajournalforjudi.blogspot.com/

ML and I thought this would be this purrfect place for all of us to share our "Judi" stories. How did you first "meet" Judi and her cats? What is your favorite "Judi" recollection? Do you have a special message for her? Judi will be reading this blog and we thought that she would enjoy reading your words. Just use your fingers, paws, hoofs, tails and any other phalanges capable of typing! Prose, anecdotes, poetry, tall tales, yarns, favorite quotes and prayers -- any and all are welcome.

Sassy:  Mommy has an update about Auntie Judi-Bug for everyone:

Deb:  ML and I had a very emotional two days with our beloved Judi. It was so very hard to see her looking so frail, but we gave her many gentle hugs and kisses.

ML and I decorated Judi's bedroom with all of beautiful cards that you have sent to her.  We did everything from making her laugh with our antics to lying in bed with her and just holding her hand.

Judi and I talk every day. We have done this since the first time that I met her about three years ago. I call her every morning and she greets me with "Hey Gal". It absolutely breaks my heart to know that we are going to lose such a wonderful soul. She and I just relaxed in her bed and had some private words. ML had her private time with Judi as well.  She and Judi exchanged many prayers, hugs and kisses.  We tried to surround her with as much love as possible.

We passed along to Judi all the love that everyone had asked us to give to her. I know that she took great comfort in all of that love and light.  She is enjoying all the cards and other sweet gifts that you have sent to her.

The hardest thing ML and I had to do was leave her. I don't know how much longer we will be privileged to have her here on earth, but I do know that heaven will receive an amazing soul and will be more glorious because of this beautiful lady.

I know that all of you are worried about Auntie Judi-Bug, so Mommy thought that I should let you know how she is doing.

She is resting at home.  She has a very nice nurse who comes to check on her.  They did have to increase her pain medication so that she can rest comfortably.  Auntie Judi-Bug knows that you have been sending prayers, purrs, woofs and assorted other wishes to her.

Mommy talks to her daily.  Mommy leaves next Tuesday to fly to Houston.  She and Auntie ML will be traveling to San Antonio next Friday.  They will take all of the love that you are sending to our beloved Auntie Judi-Bug with them.

UPDATE ON AUNTIE JUDI-BUG

Auntie Judi-Bug wanted us to let you know how she is doing.
Her hospice care nurse came out and now Auntie Judi-Bug is getting pain relief.  She is taking morphine capsules and some other medicine for her tummy.  Mommy has talked to her several times and was quite relieved that Auntie Judi-Bug was feeling a better.  Mommy and Auntie ML will be going to visit her on April 13th.

Auntie Judi-Bug wanted us to tell you how much she appreciates all the cards, purrs, woofs, prayers and love that you have been sending to her.  She also wanted us to let you know that she was managing to eat a little now that her tummy is getting some medicine.  She thought that you would all get a smile from knowing that her tummy just loves ice cream!

We will continue to keep you updated as to how she is doing.

UPDATE ON AUNTIE JUDI-BUG

Mommy talked to Auntie Judi-Bug yesterday, after Auntie's appointment with the oncologist.  The news was not good.  Auntie has Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and it is inoperable because it has attached to a major vein.  The mass has spread to outside the pancreas.

Auntie Judi-Bug has decided to go into Hospice care.
Mommy is flying to Texas on April 10th.  Mommy and Auntie ML are going to travel to San Antonio to visit Auntie Judi-Bug.

I wish that I could go too!  I talk to Auntie Judi-Bug every day on the phone.

Please continue to send your prayers, purrs, woofs and lots of love to Auntie Judi-Bug.

UPDATE ON AUNTIE JUDI-BUG

I talked to Judi yesterday after her oncologist appointment.  She has to have a PET scan:

A positron emission tomography (PET) scan is a unique type of imaging test that helps doctors see how the organs and tissues inside your body are actually functioning.
This test will give the doctors a better understanding how to treat Judi.  Judi was feeling better yesterday.
She knows that there are lots of prayers, purrs, woofs and love being sent for her and to her.
I will keep you posted when I get more news.

JUDI, WE LOVE YOU!!!

WE LOVE YOU AUNTIE JUDI-BUG

UPDATE (2:00 p.s. EST):  Judi is home!  There were some complications with the biopsy.  The doctor could not go through the front side of her body because he was afraid of hitting vital organs.  Judi had to have another CAT scan and the doctor went through the back side.  She is home and resting.  She is on pain medication.  Hopefully the results will be in on Tuesday.  She wanted me to thank all of you for your purrs and prayers.  ~~ Deb

UPDATE (11:15 a.m. EST):  I just talked to Lauryn, Judi's granddaughter, and Judi is in the recovery room.  No results from the test thus far.  Please continue to keep Judi in your prayers.  I will update you when I hear anything else. ~~ Deb

Please keep Auntie Judi-Bug (Sammy, Andy, Shelly & Sierra's Mommy) in your prayers.  She is going into the hospital today to have a needle biopsy which will give her doctors information about the mass in her pancreas.

~~A needle biopsy is a procedure to obtain a sample of cells from your body for laboratory testing.~~

All of uSSSSS in the Taylor Home are purring and praying for our dear furriend.  We love Auntie Judi-Bug so very much.  We will keep you updated as soon as we hear anything.
