Sassy: "Mommy, I have no idea what you are talking about!"
Mommy: "Sassy, you know EXACTLY what I am talking about. Tell everyone!"Sassy: "Hmm....I'm trying to remember!"
Mommy: "Sassy....you need to confess!"Sassy: "I think I'm getting a headache."
Mommy: "Sassy, you don't have a headache! You just don't want to tell everyone what you did to me! Come on....spill!"Sassy: "No....I won't!"
Sassy: "Oh, okay...here is what happened! Mommy was lying in bed reading. All five of uSSSSS were with her. It was very nice! Then, it was bedtime. Seaborne, Sam, Summer and Spats went into our bedroom. But, Mommy couldn't find ME!"Mommy: "Sassy, The Big Guy, Tatum and I searched for over an HOUR! We looked everywhere! We even looked in rooms that were closed before you disappeared!"
Sassy: "Well, that was silly! How could I open the door?"
Mommy: "You are Sassy....that is how! We COULD NOT find you! I was so upset! Tatum was upset! The Big Guy was upset! We looked everywhere! I even went outside to look, even though there was no way you could have gotten out!"
Sassy: "Umm...I thought we were playing Hide-and-Seek?"
Mommy: "I don't think so! You didn't answer me when I called. You ALWAYS answer me! You always talk....all the time! Why didn't you answer me?"
Sassy: "I was sleeping?"
Mommy: "When I FINALLY found you, curled up as small as possible, in a corner of my bedroom with your eyes WIDE OPEN!"
SASSY: "I throw myself at the mercy of the court!"
Mommy: "What court? Sassy, tell everyone what punishment you got!"
Sassy: "The Big Guy hugged me! Then Tatum hugged and kissed me! Then Mommy hugged, kissed and held me and told me how much she loved me! Mommy said that I almost gave her a heart attack! She said that I should do that again. Now look at this face! Do you think I should have punished so severely?"
Sassy: "I didn't think so either! PBTTTTHHH! ANYBODY WANT TO PLAY HIDE-AND-SEEK?"
Mommy: "SASSY....THAT ISN'T FUNNY!!!">

Sassy - Me (Miles) and Sammy does that ALL the time. But, ok, I always come when someone calls my name, but Sammy never does. And then the house gets torn all apart and Sammy just laffs and laffs.
Billy is a goody two shoes and nefur does that. He's always around in plain sight.

Sassy that was a funny story! I do that to Mom sometimes. It's fun to watch her run all over the house looking for me. I get the same punishment as you when she finds me!
We think our Sassy is related to your Sassy...she's the *best* at hiding when The Mommy is trying to find her and the rest of us iz all accounted for! She always seems to find a new hiding spot.

Look at that face. She's innocent. Buddy will represent her if she needs an attorney. He's a very gifted orator. Or is that a howler? Well, if necessary he can how his way through a trial and get her off.
I do that sometimes but now the Woman knows where I hide when I don't come when she calls...
And I'll bet 10 green papers that the other 4 S's knew EXACTLY where she was the WHOOOOOOOOLE time!
Sassy, you're just lucky that with all that huggin' and squeezin' she didn't call you "George", too!
Isn't it fun to play that game with our humans, Sassy??? We do that to our mom quite often.....keeps some excitement in ALL our lives.

Oh Sassy, you are a tease scaring your Beans like that. We always come when the Beans call us unless I am asleep. If I'm asleep, nothing wakes me up.

That was some mighty drastic punishment you got!
Wow, that was some severe punishment you got. Playing hide and seek can be fun, but for reason the beans don't think so. They tend to get all leaky when they can't find one of us after looking for a while. We are glad you were just hiding.

It is always so scary when you can't find them. Mine hide during the day and I have no ides where. We laugh because we feel they are some where in plain site laughing at us!

The longer one spends looking for a "missing cat", the closer said cat usually is! Nerve wracking nonetheless.
Ours hide too. One thing they like to do is open a cupboard door and climb in. Do you know how many doors I go through opening to find who is missing? Then I get an indignant look like, hey, I was sleeping in here.
Ok, so I am a bit late in responding but I am trying to catch up with everyone. I had to say that a couple of my kitties have done that to me and oh my did it scare me! I know how your mom felt! I am sure she was so happy to see you but also so annoyed that you didn't respond that she just didn't know what to do for a couple minutes! Don't scare your mom like that again please.
