PRODUCT ENDORESMENT: FRESH STEP CAT LITTER

Well, as we have stated in a previous blog, we prefer Fresh Step Cat Litter to any other litter. We received free samples of their new Fresh Expressions kind. It is lavender scented. So we decided to give it the sniff test first:

After much discussion among ourselves, we have decided that this new Fresh Expressions Fresh Step is fantastic. Not only do you get the soothing scent of lavender, you still get the high quality litter.

We can safely say that we highly endorse this product. We would give it A FIVE CAT RATING...the highest rating that you can receive in this household!

FBS: ARTIST AT WORK -- CONTINUED

Faith Boomerang Sherwood (FBS)
Artist at Work
The young prodigy is working on yet another masterpiece.
The untaught sense of color and composition that kittens seem naturally to possess sometimes yields extraordinary results, and the combination of instinct and accident that governs their creative activity can produce astonishing works of art. We see the countless hours of excruciating practice, the intricate and sometimes impossible eye-paw coordination, the mastery of the theory and the appreciation of the structure of the work, to ultimately evoking the very spirit intended by the artist.

BORN TO BE WILD: ROLLING THUNDER

BORN TO BE WILD

Get your motor running
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way
Born to be wild
Born to be wild
Written by: Damian Marley
Rocky - (with Auntie Deb & his Mommy Retta - Deb's sister) when he was 4 months old

This is my woofie nephew ROCKY (aka THE ROCK STAR), now age 3, on his daddy's Harley. Don't worry! Rocky is just posing for the pictures. When he rides, he ALWAYS wears his helmet!

Every year, here in D.C., we have one of the most amazing sights that you will ever see. It is called Rolling Thunder. Think 100,000 plus motorcycles all together and you've got Rolling Thunder. If you've never checked out Rolling Thunder, a massive scene of motorcycles on Memorial Day, you absolutely must check it out this Memorial Day weekend. It is truly awe inspiring!

The event, which drew more than 850,000 participants and spectators in 2007, according to Rolling Thunder National estimates, is expected to draw even larger numbers this year. The demonstration is intended as a peaceful way to get the government and the nation thinking about POW/MIA issues. Thousands and thousands of bikes, thundering down the road from the Pentagon headed to the reflecting pool at the Lincoln Memorial, does a nice job of getting attention! In fact, that noise of a mass of bikes is where Rolling Thunder got its name.

Incorporated in 1995, Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is a class 501 C-4 non-profit organization with over 85 chartered chapters throughout the United States. Membership is composed of men and women, with 40-45% being non-veterans and the balance being veterans from all wars and peacetime. Although many of its members ride motorcycles, a person does not have to own or ride a motorcycle to be a member, just the time and willingness to be an advocate for our troops, veterans, and POW/MIAs. For more information about Rolling Thunder, visit the organization’s web site at http://www.rollingthunder1.com/index.html.

THEIR MISSION STATEMENT:
The major function of Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is to publicize POW-MIA issues: To educate the public that many American prisoners of war were left behind after all previous wars and to help correct the past and to protect future veterans from being left behind should they become prisoners of war-missing in action.

We are also committed to helping American veterans from all wars.

Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is a non-profit organization. Members donate their time because they believe in the issues we are working on.

Mommy's Walking....a little bit!

Spats: "Hi! Well, as you can see, I am NOT lying on Mommy. That is because the doctor told her that she could get up and walk around....a little bit! But...she is NOT allowed to pick up anything heavier than one of us kitties...whoops....let me rephrase that....one of us GIRL kitties (the boys weigh 18 & 22 pounds!)! So, I am keeping an eye on The Woman! Thank you to everyone for their encouraging words and purrs for Mommy. She really appreciates everyone and everykitty's kindness!

In honor of Mommy being able to walk around a little bit, she wanted to show you the last walk around D.C. with The Big Guy (aka Daddy). This was a couple of weeks ago.
Cherry Blossom Tree

The Capitol peeking through the trees.
The Capitol.
Beautiful Azaleas!
A little fevver that Mommy thought was cute.
The Washington Monument...view from the top of the Old Post Office. The Mall.
A friendly squirrel!Mr. Squirrel liked to pose!
The White House!
(Sam thinks it should be painted pink
...but then Sam wants everything to be pink!)

We hope that you enjoyed the walk around D.C.

ON GUARD

Spats: "As you can see, I am still ever vigilant in my quest to keep Mommy from getting up. She is feeling better...which is good...except it makes my job even more difficult. She still has to rest, but since she is feeling better, she thinks she can get up. Well...I don't think so! Not with me on guard!"

"What do you mean you need to get up?"
Mommy: "Spats, I have to a couple of things I have to do!"

"Well, okay, you can get up for a few minutes. But...then it is back to resting for you! Got that Mommy?"

"Goodness, this is an exhausting job! "I've got to get some rest! If I sleep on Mommy, she won't move cause I look so cute! Great Plan!"

IT'S HARD TO KEEP A GOOD MOMMY DOWN!

Spats: "Hi, you are probably wondering why I'm lying in this position. Well, Mommy has a pinched nerve in her back and she is supposed to be on bed rest. Ha! Anyone who knows my Mommy will understand my frustration. The Woman just won't cooperate! So, I'm lying on her to keep her immobile!"

"What do you mean you are going to get up!"

"I need reinforcements! Quick!!!
"Good job Seaborne, you help sit on her! Those red eyes will scare her into being good!"
"Sassy, you sleep down on her feetsies! You look so cute that she won't want to wake you up!"
"I'm showing Sam just where to lie!"
"Here we are! Keeping her immobile! Seaborne and Sassy went for their break."

"Great goodness,
IT IS HARD TO KEEP A GOOD MOMMY DOWN!
I'M EXHAUSTED!"
